The Fibrelight Rod Stretcher is lightweight and can be swiftly deployed from the compact carrying bag. The Rod Stretcher offers a rigid support for the casualty that can be easily carried between a team. The stretcher is fully adjustable to accommodate a wide range of sizes and will securely contain a casualty for a vertical or horizontal lift. The stretchers compact nature enables it to be easily stowed in an emergency vehicle and carried by a single person to the scene of the emergency.

The stretcher is manufactured using re-enforcing rods of Carbon Fibre that are enclosed within tubular webbing with flanges. When fitted and sewn at right angles between the double thickness pockets of a second webbing an incredibly strong structure is created. The result is a device that is very strong and rigid yet still lightweight and compact. The material is wipe and spray clean as well as rot and mildew resistant.

The Fibrelight Four Section Stretcher:
The Fibrelight Four Section Stretcher is a lightweight yet rigid stretcher that fits into a backpack or small holdall; this stretcher has the same strength qualities as the Rod Stretcher but the added advantage that it folds down into almost a quarter of the size. The snap together construction allows it to be assembled in less than 20 seconds. As with the Rod Stretcher this stretcher is fully adjustable to accommodate a wide range of sizes and will securely contain a casualty for a horizontal lift.The stretchers compact construction makes it ideal for military or emergency teams.

The stretcher is manufactured using carbon fibre tubing in four sections. The tubes are enclosed in robust fabric sleeving and drawn together with elastic cord. When the tubes are fitted and sewn at right angles between the double thickness pockets of a second webbing an incredibly strong structure is created. The result is a device that is highly portable, compact, lightweight, yet strong and rigid when assembled. The material is wipe and spray clean as well as rot and mildew resistant. Both the Fibrelight Rod Stretcher and Fibrelight Four Section Stretcher have been tested with a static load, suspended horizontally by four side handles loaded with 200kgs for 1 hour. Snatch Test, suspended horizontally by four side handles loaded with 100kgs. One pair of handles dropped 150mm and arrested abruptly, repeated for 10,000 cycles to simulate movement over rough terrain for 5km. No damage or deterioration was evident on completion of these tests. The construction has also been tested as per SOLAS Approval from Lloyd’s Register and approved for Thermal Ageing, Weathering, UV Exposure, Oil Resistance and practical performance.
